There is Very Minor Crazing on the Bottom Enamelling Where the Hinge is. On a Scale of 1-10 This watch is 9.5 Condition. Measures 2-5/8 Inches with the Swivel Ring in an up Position. Center Panel Medallion with Figural Floral Scene Made of Seed Pearls and a Miniature Ivory Plaque Titled L'anirri'e (or close anyway) Surrounded by a Border of Rose Gold Filagree Work. The Two (2) Outside Panels of Dark Blue Enamel Work, also Surrounded by a Border of Rose Gold Filagree Work. The Rest of the Box made of Carved Ivory with Rose Gold Mounts and Decorated with Rose Gold Jewelled Inlay. Unsigned. There are Three (3) Small Splits in the Ivory, Two of them are Above The Center Medallion and One on the Left Edge. The Center Medallion Figural Flower Has Lost Some Some of the Seed Pearls, They Came Apart and are Lodged inside the Glass. There is Minor Mecury Loss to the Inside Mirror, and some Light Staining to the Velvet Inside Liner. Otherwise its in Very Good Condition. Measures Almost 3-7/8 Inches Wide, 1-1/2 Inches Front to back, 1/2 Inch Tall when in Closed Position, and the Cover is 1-5/8 Inches Tall when in an Open Position. Shipping $6.00 (estimate $300-$500)

The Drawers have Incized Brass Bail Handles and Keyhole Escutcheons. Provenance: According to an Undated Late 19th Century Newspaper Article in the Clients Possession, this Highboy Once Belonged to Roswell Freeman, The Last Black Govenor of Connecticut. A Mrs. Radcliffe of Derby, Connecticut, Gave the Highboy to the Clients Great Great Grandmother, Belinda Jane Shattuck Newton, at the Time the Newspaper Article was Written. 288 - 19th Century Polychrome Bronze and Onyx Mechanical Waterfall Clock. Aneroid Barometer, and Thermometer on Opposite Sides of the Clock Dial. Thermometer Signed Reaumur. Case Decorated with Gilt Bronze Winged Griffons, and an Angel with a Sword Overhead, and a Snake at his Feet. Angel Standing on a Mirrored Plateau (a Sliver of Glass Missing) There is another Mirrored Plateau Between the Two Griffons, Beneath the Lower Waterfall Glass Tubes. Clock Movement Has Been Refitted with an Electric Movement. When the Case is Turned on the Waterfall is Activated and the Center Mechanism Turns in a Circular Pattern. The Angel with The Sword Overhead is Supposed to be Mounted on the Movement Beneath his Feet but is at Present Detached from the Mechanical Mechanism. There is a Switch at the Back of the Clock which was a Later Addition, and Turns the Electrified Movement on and Off. The Rear of the Case Has Been Sealed with Metal Plates which are Screwed in. Two or Three of the Waterfall Glass Tubes are Missing. Some Rubbing to the Gilt. Physically, the Clock is in Very Good Condition. Measures 20-1/4 Inches Tall, 14-7/8 Inches Wide, and 9 Inches Depth.
